We fully certify and endorse Intel and AMD microprocessors. They have both proven
themselves to be excellent performers. Any choice
of Celeron, Pentium 4, Athlon or Duron would be just
fine. The differences between each - Celeron and
Duron are value-based; They are more geared towards
word-processing and Internet surfing. The Pentium
4 and Athlon are appropriate for any purpose. Take
note - the amount of heat generated by today's processors
requires special attention to the cooling system
implementation. Be certain that your chosen system
uses proven, approved cooling technology! However,
it doesn't matter which processor you choose if you
don't make a wise decision on your motherboard!
