Always check the "Fine Print" of the warranty. If anything seems too good to be true, it usually is. Make
sure that the company will give you a loaner part
if yours needs repairs. Be skeptical of companies
that put "Warranty Stickers" on their cases restricting your entry. What are they trying to hide? Also, be
aware that many of the components in a system are
covered for longer than the system warranty period,
as long as they are quality systems. Always be
sure to ask about the details of the individual
warranties on parts being used to see if they are
longer than the complete system warranty. Finally,
be wary of warranties on peripherals - they can
trip you up very easily. Make sure your chosen
supplier has very clearly stated warranty policies
with regards to handling of hardware AND software
problems. Be sure to ask what level of service
you wil be provided with if you need to make a
warranty claim.
